about the painting, yea, Chinese painting is marvelous. When I was in Paris they had a special exhibition on Chinese arts during Qianlong era (1735-1796). I’ve seen some great painting in person. And of course, they have a vast collection of paintings from the renaissance era, you’d love to see it. By the way, I assume you already know this painting, The most famous one in China:
